FS Velletri Station
Starting from Piazza Garibaldi in Velletri, follow Via Appia Nord to reach the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani. Passing through a forested area, you’ll arrive at Via Nemorense. A climb along this road takes you to the charming village of Nemi.
In the town center, visit the Chiesa del Crocifisso and continue to Palazzo Ruspoli, where you can admire the stunning views from the Belvedere. From there, the route takes you back into the woods of the Parco Regionale.
The path proceeds along Via dei Laghi, leading deeper into the forest. You’ll pass beneath the Rocca di Papa-Ariccia road and follow a trail to the Monastero dei Cappuccini in Albano Laziale.
The stage concludes in Castel Gandolfo, ending at Piazza della Libertà, where you’ll find the magnificent Palazzo Pontificio.
